Possible Risks, Hazards, or Complications

  • Pain: There can be pain even after the topical anesthetic has been used. Anesthetics work better on some people than others.
  • Infection: Infection is very unusual. The areas treated must be kept clean, and only freshly cleaned hands should touch the areas. Follow the proper aftercare instruction sheet provided.
  • Uneven Pigmentation: This can result from poor healing, infection, bleeding, or many other causes. Your follow-up appointment will likely correct any uneven appearance.
  • Asymmetry: Every effort will be made to avoid asymmetry, but our faces are not symmetrical so adjustments may be needed during the follow-up session to correct any unevenness.
  • Excessive Swelling or Bruising: Some people bruise or swell more than others. Ice packs may help reduce the swelling. The swelling or bruising typically disappears in 1-5 days. Some people don’t bruise or swell at all.
  • Anesthetics: Topical anesthetics are used to numb the area to be tattooed. Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Benzocaine, Tetracaine, and/or Epinephrine cream and/or liquid are used. If you are allergic to any of these, please inform us.
  • MRI: Because pigments used in Permanent Cosmetic procedures contain inert oxides, a low level magnet may be required if you need to be scanned by an MRI machine. You must inform your MRI Technician of any tattoos or permanent cosmetics.
  • Allergic Reaction: Although an allergy is unusual, there is always a possibility of an unknown allergy to the pigments and materials used during the procedure.

It is essential that you follow these instructions after your session:

Day One (Day of Treatment):
Wait 1-2 hours and let the wounds weep lymph. After 2 hours you must wipe off the lymph the moistened cotton pad provided. Do this every 1-2 until bed.

Day Two:
Repeat the wiping of the brows every 2-3 hours until bed.

Avoid getting your brows wet for these two days.

Day Three to Day Four:
Stop the use of the moistened cotton rounds and still avoid getting your brows wet.

Day Five to Day Nine:
At night wash the treated area with warm water and mild soap like Cetaphil. Wash your hands with a disinfectant soap before washing your eyebrows. Apply the aftercare cream one to two times a day. Continue this until your brows are healed and no longer look/feel dry.

NOTE: Too much ointment will cause the pigment to scab. Use a thin amount of product on the treated area as needed (one to two times a day at most).

The following must be avoided during all nine days post-procedure:

  • Increased sweating
  • Practicing sports
  • Swimming
  • Hot sauna, hot bath, or jacuzzi
  • Sun tanning or salon tanning
  • Exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading
  • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the treated area
  • Touching of the treated area except for when applying the post-care ointment with a cotton swab.
  • Picking, peeling or scratching of the treated area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
  • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleanings such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
  • Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol is excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
  • Driving in open-air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles

Before showering, apply a layer of post-care cream to protect your eyebrows from moisture. During the shower keep your face away from the shower head.

Itching and flaking may appear during the first 7 days post-procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.

The healing of deeper wounds might last between 14-21 days. Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape design are recommended only after this period.

If you have any problems with the healing of the skin, please contact us immediately to discuss further instructions.

At the first sign of infection, allergic or adverse reaction, consult with a healthcare practitioner.

What to expect during and after your Ombre Brow Session
Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just a superficial color, and dry skin is being naturally removed from the eyebrows.

Once completely healed, after 2 weeks, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly or alter the color of the pigment over time.

You can now enjoy your beautiful new brows!

It is essential that you follow these instructions after your session:

Lip Blush post-care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new lips. Please read the following aftercare instructions carefully:

Day One:
Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color.

For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on the lips with a clean paper towel to remove any lymph. After 4 hours, start applying ointment (Aquaphor) as needed to keep lips constantly moist.

No kissing, rubbing, or friction on the treated area.

Day One to Three:
Apply ointment on lips several times a day. Keep lips moist at all times. Avoid oily, spicy, and heavily seasoned food and drink with a straw. After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

Day Four to Day Seven:
Between these days, lips will begin and end the process of peeling, and color will lighten by 30%-50%. Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping your lips moist.

Week Two:
The lips are done peeling, color is light. You may return to normal routines. Lips will continue to heal for up to 6 weeks. Every week more color will surface. It is important to continue keeping lips moist to get the best color at the end of the healing phase.

Weeks Six to Eight:
Your lips are healed and you’re feeling unstoppable!!! Just add some gloss and go! In most cases, it requires two treatments to complete the lip transformation.
